Outrageous Christian Scholars Society
Fall 2009

DBU FACULTY!

Join the discussion this fall on James. K. A. Smith’s new book Desiring the Kingdom: Worship, Worldview, and Cultural Formation (Baker 2009). This book reshapes the meaning of Christian higher education around the themes of love, liturgy, and formation. Christian education is not so much an informative as a formative and transformative process that redirects our loves and desires toward God and His kingdom and the biblical vision of human flourishing (shalom). Teaching and pedagogy should reorder our deepest affections and desires.
