What is it?
The Outrageous Christian Scholars Society (OCSS) exists for the
following purposes:
-
To expose DBU faculty and administrators to significant books
in the field of Christian higher education.
- To
stimulate in-depth conversation and provoke insight on important
topics related to the work of Christian scholars and educators.
- To
cultivate a larger vision for Christian higher education and its
role and influence in the Church and world.
- To
foster a deeper sense of community among university faculty and
administrators through conversation, encouragement and prayer.

When
is it?
The
OCSS meets three or four times each semester on Wednesday afternoons
for an hour and half (See the OCSS
schedules).

|
What
do we do?
Three
things primarily:
- We
read the text to be discussed in advance of our meeting.
- We
analyze, evaluate and discuss the text under consideration.
- We
pray.
|
|
Who
is invited to attend?
All
DBU faculty and administrators.
