Nigel M. de S. Cameron


Dr. Nigel M. de S. Cameron, Dean of The Wilberforce Forum, is former Provost and Distinguished Professor of Theology and Culture at Trinity International
University/ Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois. Known internationally for his work on bioethics, Dr Cameron founded the journal Ethics and Medicine and the Centre for Bioethics and Public Policy (bioethics.ac.uk) in London, England; he also chairs the board of the Center for Bioethics in the Church (thecbc.org).

Dr. Cameron has appeared on CNN, ABC, Nightline, Frontline, and other network
media as a spokesman for Judeo-Christian perspectives on old and new issues
in medicine and bioethics. He testified before the congressional hearings on
human cloning. He has written and edited nine books in bioethics, including his
seminal volume The New Medicine (Crossway, 1992).

Dr. Cameron's work spans theology as well as ethics. He edited the major
reference The Dictionary of Scottish Church History and TheologyM (InterVarsity)
as well as other volumes on systematic theology, and has written on issues as
diverse as the authority of the Bible, evolution, and the Christian life.

Originally from the United Kingdom, Nigel Cameron is a naturalized US
citizen. He and his wife Shenach, parents of five children, live in Deerfield,
Illinois.
