Please follow the steps below to ensure a successful start to your first semester at DBU.

Steps
to completing your admissions file |
All applicants who have never attended a post-secondary institution, or who have enrolled in any post-secondary institution, even if no credit was received, must submit a completed application for admission and the following:
- Official copies of transcripts from all colleges in which the student has enrolled. These must be submitted before a final admission evaluation can be made. A transcript request form can be downloaded here.
- Typewritten essay (250 words) describing why the applicant would like to attend DBU.
- College of Professional Studies students with fewer than 30 transferable credit hours must submit a final official high school transcript or GED documentation.
- A non-refundable $25 admission application fee. The fee is waived if the online application for admission is submitted.

Set
up your DBU Online account |
Enter the student section and click on "account access setup." Then follow the instructions. For help, click on "account setup instructions" or call the DBU Computer Lab at (214) 333-5500.

Obtain
a Parking Permit (If needed) |
Obtain a parking permit from the Campus Security Office (Patty & Bo Pilgrim Chapel, map).
*vehicle license number is required

Receive
a DBU Student ID Card |
| Receive a Student ID at the DBU Computer Lab (Collins Learning Center, map) or at the Registrar's Office (John G. Mahler Student Center, map). |

Take
the Math Advising Tool (eMAT) |
If you are
planning to enroll in a math or accounting course, you must
take the Math Advising Tool (eMAT) before you will be allowed
to register. The eMAT helps determine your readiness for math-related courses. Unless you have documented disabilities, you are required
to take the eMAT online. To access eMAT instructions and the
test click here.
