Memorial Library’s collection includes a wide variety
of multimedia resources, including:
- Videos
- DVDs
- CDs
- CD-ROMs
- Audio
tapes
- Records
(LPs)
- Online multimedia sources (see below)
All of
these items, except the LPs, are located behind the circulation
desk, 1st floor of the Collins Learning Center. Please ask
for assistance. The LPs are shelved near the media carrels
and Periodicals section on the 1st floor.
MEDIA
CARRELS
The
Library maintains media carrels for listening or viewing
of multimedia resources. These include:
- One
viewing station for DVDs and videos
- One
listening station for CDs
- One
listening station for audio tapes or records
To use
the media carrels, you will need headphones, which may be
checked out at the circulation desk. Video equipment may require additional accessories - please check with circulation desk personnel for more information.
ONLINE MULTIMEDIA
The DBU Library subscribes to NAXOS Music Library and NAXOS video library. These sources provide streaming access to audio and video content via the internet. To access these resources, visit our Find Articles page. Roll your mouse over "Fine Arts" in the center column, and choose either NAXOS Music Library or NAXOS Video Library from the list that pops up. You must be on campus or have a current DBU username and password to access these sources.
NAXOS Music Library offers over 890,000 tracks of streaming music. While classical music is the main focus of this service, NAXOS also offers selections in other genres, including jazz, folk, pop, and world music.
NAXOS Video Library offers over 1,300 full-length videos, covering a wide range of performing arts. Orchestral concerts, ballets, operas, theatrical productions, and master classes are just a few of the options this service provides.
