OVERDUE/LOST/DAMAGED
LIBRARY MATERIALS
- No
fines are imposed for overdue circulating Library materials
checked out by faculty and staff.
- However,
overdue items will result in a BLOCK placed
on the patron's Library account. Library privileges, such
as Interlibrary Loan and checkout, will be suspended until
the item is returned or the replacement fee is paid.
- After
50 days, an overdue item is considered LOST.
- A
standard replacement charge of $50 will
be assessed for lost items.
- If
a lost item is found and returned, the replacement fee will
be refunded.
- A
replacement copy may be accepted in lieu of the replacement
fee, with prior approval
from the Accessions Librarian.
- The
person whose Library account is used is responsible for
the fees described above.
- Damaged
items may also generate a replacement fee. The damaged item
will remain the property of the Library.

RECALLS
Faculty
members may request a recall of a checked-out item if it is
urgently needed for instructional purposes. For example, if
you need to place an item on reserve, you may request a recall.
The Library will contact the person holding the item and ask
that it be returned within 8 days.
To
request a recall, you must contact the Circulation Manager
(see below). Please use the recall privilege sparingly.
