Master of Arts in Christian Education

  • Demonstrate general biblical and theological knowledge, develop, organize, conduct, and evaluate Christian education ministry in various vocational assignments
  • Communicate and lead effectively in a variety of church settings

All students take 30 hours of core curriculum plus 12 hours in a concentration to prepare them to serve as ministers of education, ministers of adults, ministers of youth, ministers of childhood education, ministers of business administration, and other roles.

DBU provides ministry training through university-model ministry degrees to prepare students for practical ministry.  Consider the mission statement for the M. A. in Christian Education degree program: 

The purpose of the Master of Arts in Christian Education program is to provide Christ-Centered graduate level education to prepare servant leaders for local church ministries and vocational work by educating their minds and kindling their hearts in a manner that promotes a life of service to the body of Christ.

One of the greatest benefits to students in DBU’s M. A. in Christian Education courses is the introduction to realistic ministry issues and settings and the guidance and resources gained in dealing with them.  In addition, students discover tremendous resources for future ministry. Courses in the Master of Arts in Christian Education degree plan are available in the classroom, online, and at satellite locations allows for the training of ministry students all around the world.
