Dual Degree Program

The Master of Arts in Communication/Master of Arts in Worship Leadership dual degree program is designed to equip graduates with academic knowledge and professional skills related to the field of communication, which will enable them to provide effective servant leadership in educational, ministry, community, or professional organizations. In addition, graduates will gain a holistic study of Christian worship which will enable them to educate and lead today's church in the theological and practical dimensions of worship.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
In order to pursue a dual master's degree program, the applicant must
apply to, meet the existing admission requirements for, and be accepted
into each of the master's degrees which comprise the dual degree
program.
Note: Church Membership Requirement (for Admission to master’s ministry degrees and advanced ministry certificate programs): Within the last 12 months the applicant must have been an active member of a Christian church that holds Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Click here to download form.
PREREQUISITES
Prerequisite course work must be satisfied for both degree programs. There are no prerequisite courses for the M.A. in Communication program. The following prerequisite courses are required for admission to the M.A. in Worship Leadership program:
Old Testament Survey
New Testament Survey
One upper level course in Religion or Theology CURRICULUM OVERVIEW
18 hours from Required Common Curriculum
18 hours from M.A. in Communication Specialized Curriculum
24 hours from M.A. in Worship Leadership Specialized Curriculum
60 Total Hours
Required Common Curriculum (18 hours)
M.A. in Communication Specialized Curriculum (18 hours)
M.A. in Worship Leadership Specialized Curriculum (24 hours)
