The Japanese Student Society promotes cultural understanding among American and Japanese
students. It fosters friendships and long-lasting ties with members of the DBU family. Through
formal events and the informal development of friendships, opportunities will be made available
to develop servant leadership in Japanese students. In order to accomplish this goal, the
Japanese Student Society will strive to give members of the society an opportunity to know each
other better, promote cultural interchange and friendship between Japanese students and people
of other nations, help Intensive English Program students to adapt to Dallas Baptist University
and the United States, and develop new International Christians mentally and spiritually.
