Intensive English Program
Director

My name is Philip Homer and I serve as the Director of the Intensive English Program.  While I love teaching, I also plan special activities with international students.  I especially enjoy learning about other cultures and helping students adjust to living in the U.S.  I have degrees from two American Universities; Biola University and University of the Pacific.  I have worked in Papua New Guinea and been a student in Thailand, France, and Denmark.  My wife and I have three young children.

What will I learn in the IEP?

Master reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills

Develop academic skills for success in an American university

Acquire American culture knowledge

Learn the American academic research style

 

What are classes like?

Class size normally 8 to 13 students

Class levels based on English ability

Full-time study with intensive instruction

One academic credit course included in tuition

Free orientation to prepare for living and studying in the USA

 

What classes will I have?

Reading, Grammar, Conversation, Writing, Academic Research Skills

An academic credit course in Communication, Religion, or Business depending on your English level

Field trips to local points of interest

Cultural activities with American volunteers and families

Campus and community involvement

Spring Session 1 (January -to- March)

How much does the Intensive English Program cost?


Tuition, books, activities for each 8-week term cost $2,875.

Health insurance is required for all students.

Housing and food are extra.
