The MAT with Montessori specialization is based on the philosophy of Montessori education. The 36-hour MAT Montessori degree is composed of two concentrations, Montessori Elementary I and Montessori Early Childhood. The MAT with Montessori specialization is designed for students who are seeking a Master of Arts in Teaching with Montessori specialization training in the concentration Early Childhood (2.5 - 6 year old child) and Elementary Level I (6 - 9 year old child).

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
In addition to the general admission requirements, full admission to the Master of Arts in Teaching Program requires satisfactory scores on the Graduate Record Examination (GRE).
