> Admission Requirements
In addition to the general
admission requirements, full admission to these programs
requires:
- A valid teaching certificate issued by
the State Board for Educator Certification (SBEC) or qualification
for a certificate from SBEC or from any other agency or
approved private school accrediting body. (Students desiring
to earn teacher certification through a graduate program
must meet specific requirements. Please contact the College
of Education Office for additional information.)
- THEA Scores: Reading 260, Math 240, English
240 (for students seeking teacher certification.)
Program Continuance
Continuance in the program past the first 6 hours is pending submission of satisfactory scores on the Graduate Record Examination (GRE):
* a minimum verbal score of 400 combined with the quantitative score to
equal 850
OR
* a minimum verbal score of 400 combined with a minimum analytical write
score of 4.0
In lieu of the GRE, the applicant may submit the GMAT, MAT, or other nationally-recognized aptitude test with comparable scores upon approval of the program director and the Masters Degrees Admission Committee.
