Dr. Suzanne Kavli (firstname.lastname@example.org)
I am currently transitioning from being a full-time faculty member in the College of Business at Dallas Baptist University where I taught graduate and undergraduate management of information systems courses, statistics, and quantitative analysis to a full-time position in the Gary Cook Graduate School of Leadership. Before joining the faculty at DBU, I was the Director of Information Technology and taught computer science, statistics, and mathematics courses at a small college in western North Carolina. I went to the mountains of western Carolina after spending 10 years in Thailand serving with the International Mission Board. While in the Orient, I served as the director for a multi-million baht non-profit, cottage industry, Thai Country Trim, that ships products worldwide and provides over 300 Thai people with the opportunities for necessary income and to hear about God's love. I was a member of an international team that designed the first Thai character set for the early microcomputers.
Before going to Thailand, my work experience stretched from eight years as the Computer Systems Manager for Alvin Community College, in Alvin, Texas, to being a Process Engineer for Devils Lake Sioux Manufacturing Corporation, in Devils Lake, North Dakota, to teaching for two years at a college in Nigeria, West Africa.
I completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics at the University of North Dakota, a Master of Science degree in Computer Science and a Master of Science degree in Applied Mathematics (Statistics) at North Dakota State University, and a Ph.D. in Organizational Management, with a Specialization in Information Technology from Capella University.
