Mary Ann Fritz (firstname.lastname@example.org)
Mary Ann Fritz is adjunct professor of piano at Dallas Baptist University where she teaches private piano, class piano, and piano pedagogy. She also maintains a private studio and is active as a clinician, piano festival/competition adjudicator, and workshop leader in the areas of piano and Creative Motion. Dr. Fritz has served as director of children’s music activities in various churches, and has taught piano in various capacities at Howard Payne University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. She is on the faculty of the Windswept Music Conference and is contributing editor of the Journal of Creative Motion. Dr. Fritz is editor of the newly released second edition of Creative Motion (July 2010), a textbook for creative motion study in music.
Dr. Fritz holds a B.A. from Drury College in Springfield, Missouri, a M.A. from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, a M.M. in Piano Performance, and a D.M.A. in Piano Pedagogy from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Her dissertation is entitled “A Piano Pedagogy of Creative Motion.” She has studied with Jewell N. Stout (Springfield, Missouri), Joyce Minasian (Drury College), and Dr. Robert C. Smith and Dr. Jill Sprenger (both at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary).
