Joshua D. Green (firstname.lastname@example.org)
Joshua D. Green teaches private applied piano and class piano. He received a B.M. in Piano Performance, magna cum laude, from Dallas Baptist University in Dallas, Texas; where he studied with Dr. Beth Quillian. While at DBU, he served as a choral accompanist for one of the university choral ensembles.
Professor Green holds a M.M. in Piano Pedagogy from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas, where he studied with Dr. Jill Sprenger (applied piano and pedagogy), Dr. Michelle Johnson (applied piano) and Dr. Robert Smith (accompanying). During his time at Southwestern, he was awarded the Wayne "Polly" McNelly Piano Award, and served as a teaching assistant in the piano department. He has participated in numerous masterclasses and workshops under artists/pedagogues such as: Harold Martina, Carolyn Ture, Jane Magrath, Melody Bober, Suzanne Guy and Sheila Paige.
Professor Green serves on the piano faculty at the School of Fine Arts at Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, Texas. He continues to remain active as a church musician, serving as Minister of Music at University Baptist Church in Arlington, Texas, as well as freelancing as a solo and collaborative pianist throughout the DFW Metroplex.
The blending of music and missions is a form of ministry about which Professor Green is very passionate. In 2002, he was privileged to travel to Guatemala where he collaborated with faculty from Central American Theological Seminary and Guatemala Bible Serminary in teaching music courses and giving private lessons to students who came from all over Central and South America. In addition to teaching, he presented concerts in various venues throughout the country.
Other musical fields in which Professor Green has performed include serving as rehearsal pianist/accompanist for musical theater productions and as keyboardist for local Christian bands in the DFW area.
