Barbara Wallace (firstname.lastname@example.org)
is Professor of Music and Program Director of the Theory and Composition program at Dallas Baptist University. She comes to DBU in Fall of 2005 from Baylor University. Dr. Wallace holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Theory from Baylor University, a Master of Music degree in Musicology from the University of North Texas, and a Ph.D. in Music Theory from the University of North Texas. In addition to her teaching, she also supervises DBU's Music Technology Lab.
Areas of teaching include Theory I, II, III, IV, Musicianship I-IV, Music Analysis, Advanced Analysis, Counterpoint, Keyboard Skills, and private applied composition. She also includes instruction in computer notation of music in all theory classes.
Publications include the following books, published by Kees Academic Press:

- Beginning Aural Skills: An Introduction to Ear-Training and Sightsinging
- Developing Aural Skills: A Workbook for Ear-Training, Volumes 1, 2 and 3
Dr. Wallace is an active member of the Texas Society of Music Theory, the Association for Technology Instruction, and Texas Music Educators Association (T.M.E.A.) where she has been a presenter. She has been a Reader for the AP Music Theory Exam and has been a speaker for Garland Music Teachers Association. She is also an active adjudicator of piano festivals and competitions, and provides consultation for High School Music Theory programs throughout the state of Texas.
