U. S. Department of Education - The Department of Education's Federal Student Aid programs are the largest source of student aid in America. These programs provide more than $80 billion a year in grants, loans, and work-study assistance.

The US Department of Education also provides a useful tool for students and parents, a Financial Aid Estimator Tool called FAFSA4caster. The FAFSA4caster provides students with an early estimate of their eligibility for federal student financial assistance.
Students can use this FREE tool to:
- Calculate eligibility for federal financial aid, including grants;
- Reduce the time it will take to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), which is the qualifying form for all federal student financial aid.
- This tool is very helpful for students and their families to evaluate their options for planning and paying for a post secondary education.

Texas Guaranteed Student Loan Corporation - Texas Guaranteed (TG) provides Adventures In Education (AIE)
to assist parents and students in preparing for and transiting
to higher education. AIE also provides a section for counselors
to assist in the important role they play in students' middle
school to college years.

Hispanic Scholarship Fund - The Hispanic
Scholarship Fund (HSF) is the largest Hispanic scholarship-granting
organization in the nation. HSF recognizes and rewards outstanding
Hispanic students in higher education throughout the United
States, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. These students
represent every region of the country, hundreds of institutions
of higher learning and every segment of the Hispanic community.
Founded in 1975, HSF has awarded nearly 54,000 scholarships

United Negro College Fund - The United Negro
College Fund awards scholarships to undergraduate and graduate
students.
The Program Services Department of UNCF administers various scholarship programs. Each program has its own eligibility criteria, open/close dates and required documents.In order to apply for a UNCF Program Services Scholarship, you must apply through the online application process. You can use the feature provided to search all scholarship programs that are administered by UNCF. The majority of the scholarships require the completion of the UNCF GENERAL SCHOLARSHIP application that is open from August - May for awards made during that time period. If the scholarship requires a separate application, you will be given the deadline date for the application, as well as a link to the online application.
