SPED 6330 (3-3-0) Comprehensive Assessments
This course will cover the core competencies in the area of special education assessment. The course will focus on developing proficiencies in the administration of various assessment instruments and interpreting the results in a full individual education (FIE) report. Students will develop a basic knowledge of the purposes, implementation and interpretation of formal and informal assessments. Students will gain an understanding through applied practice of how to administer, score, interpret and report on formal and informal assessments. Students will examine techniques and methodologies for assessing various disability categories currently used by educational diagnosticians, including cross-battery assessment.
