EDUC 5609    (3-3-0)   Teaching Practicum in the Elementary School
This course provides students seeking elementary certification the opportunity to observe, assist, and teach in the elementary school under the supervision of experienced teachers in locally accredited schools. Students will be required to (a) provide their own transportation, (b) participate in pre-service training during the Fall semester of the academic year, and (c) successfully complete the teaching practicum for a minimum of fifteen weeks. This course must be taken as part of the student teaching semester.   Fall, Spring.
Prerequisite: All courses on a student’s degree plan are prerequisites for the student teaching experience.
