READ 6332 (3-3-0) Pedagogy of Reading and Language Arts
Special attention is given to developing and refining the skills needed to provide reading instruction. The course focuses on teacher success in explaining and demonstrating critical elements of teaching reading. The relationship of listening, speaking and writing to reading is studied. A developmental approach is emphasized. Observation in a school ethnically different from the student is required. Pathways to Teaching students only. Summer.
