MAPD 6311   (3-3-0)   Developing Coaching Skills
Students will experiment with different coaching models and learn to distinguish between the effects of various techniques. Each of the eleven core coaching competencies will be thoroughly examined as ingredients in successful coaching. A significant portion of the course will be devoted to facilitating planning, goal setting, progress, and accountability. Through study and practice, students will learn how to structure a coaching session, evaluate its benefits, establish credibility, and build trust with the coachee.   Spring.
Prerequisite: MAPD 5310.
