EDUC 5307 (3-3-0) Teaching Practicum in the Elementary School
This course provides students seeking all level certification the opportunity to observe, assist, and teach in the elementary school under the supervision of experienced teachers in locally accredited schools. Students will be required to (a) provide their own transportation, (b) participate in pre-service training during the Fall semester of the academic year, and (c) successfully complete the teaching practicum for a minimum of seven to eight weeks (the student is to be concurrently enrolled in EDUC 5306; seven to eight weeks of student teaching is required for each course). This course must be taken as part of the student teaching semester. Fall, Spring.
Prerequisite: All courses on a student’s degree plan are prerequisites for the student teaching experience.
