PRST 3301 (3-3-0) Lifelong Learning (S-L) This course is required of all students pursuing completion of a bachelor's degree in the Professional Studies program. The course lays the foundation for the adult education program and will explore major value systems or worldviews; study current issues in the philosophy of Christian higher education; introduce servant leadership; and seek to develop various academic skills. It is expected that all adult students will take this class in their first term of enrollment at DBU. Service-Learning component. PRST 3301 Guidebook fee required. This course contains a field-based service-learning component. Prerequisite: None.
PRST 3303 (3-3-0) Experiential Learning This course guides the preparation of an academic portfolio. Adult students are guided in the opportunity to translate knowledge and skills obtained through life and work experience into academic credit. Students should consult their academic advisor before enrolling in this course. Because of the time needed for portfolio evaluation, students may not take this course in their final semester at the University. PRST Portfolio Fee: $325.00 PRST Guidebook fee required. Fall, Spring, Summer, Online. Prerequisite: ENGL 1301, ENGL 1302, COSC 1301.
