MUSI 4203 (2-2-0) Eighteenth-Century Counterpoint A study of two-, three-, and four-part counterpoint of the Baroque period. Emphasis is placed on analysis of inventions and fugues and imitative choral music. Students are also required to demonstrate proficiency in composition in the style of Baroque counterpoint. Periodically. Prerequisite: MUSI 2312 or permission of instructor.
