MUSI 1117   (1-2-0)   Class Piano I
Designed to develop the basic keyboard skills needed to fulfill the requirements of Level I of the Piano Proficiency requirements. Students will cover pentascales and basic chord progressions with inversions in all major and minor scales for two octaves each hand alone. Simple sight-reading, harmonization, transposition and improvisation will also be included. Fall, Spring.
Prerequisite: Completion of the Music Theory Placement Exam and Approval of Program Director of Keyboard Division.
