ENGL 3301   (3-3-0)   American Literature I
An advanced-level survey of American literature from the Colonial Period through the Civil War. Emphasis is on the literary significance of selected writers and the social context in which they wrote. Fall.
Prerequisite: ENGL 1301/1401, 1302, and 2301, 2302, or equivalent
