EDUC 4316 (3-3-0) Studies in Classroom Management, Instruction and Assessment The course focuses on research-based strategies in elementary and secondary classrooms designed to create positive learning environments, to organize and manage classrooms, to respond effectively to disruptive behaviors, to improve instruction and accomplish effective assessment. The Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) will be used to plan instruction. Observation in local schools is required. Each student will be required to compile a portfolio using the learning outcomes of the course. Pathways to Teaching Students only. Fall, Spring, Online. Prerequisite: None.
