DCM 2301   (3-3-0)   Developing a Christian Mind
This course, built on a biblical foundation, is designed to introduce students to the lifelong goal of developing a Christian mind, and in the process, to impart to them a solid understanding of the larger purposes of Christian higher education and the educational vision of Dallas Baptist University. Topics addressed include Christian mind and worldview development, the problem of dualism, Christian liberal arts education, integrating faith and learning, the life of the mind, calling, and the implications of Christian faith across the whole spectrum of life. Traditional Students Only. Fall, Spring, Summer, Online

This course, built on a biblical foundation, is designed to introduce students to the lifelong goal of developing a Christian mind, and in the process, to impart to them a solid understanding of the larger purposes of Christian higher education and the educational vision of Dallas Baptist University. Topics addressed include Christian mind and worldview development, the problem of dualism, Christian liberal arts education, integrating faith and learning, the life of the mind, calling, and the implications of Christian faith across the whole spectrum of life. Traditional Students Only. The Honors Program curriculum supplements and complements the traditional curriculum of this course.
Prerequisite: Admission to the Honors Program.
