COSC 3406   (4-3-2)   Networks and Telecommunication
Design and analysis of computer networks. Basic concepts: background and architecture of the Internet; five-layer and seven-layer reference models; distributed computing; networked multimedia systems; public-key cryptography and digital certificates; flow control; local networks; transport protocols; congestion control; scheduling; multicast routing. Lab fee. Spring.
Prerequisite: COSC 3405.
