Prospective First Year
High school graduation is fast approaching,
and you may be overwhelmed with the decisions you face. You
are probably asking yourself, "Where do I want to go
to college?", "What do I want to major in?",
and not to mention, "How am I going to pay for this?".
At DBU we believe that God has a plan for
your life. That is why we have made Jeremiah 29:11 our university
verse. “For I know the plans I have for you,”
declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to
harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
As you begin to pray about God’s plans
for your future, consider if you sense God calling you to
seek an education centered on the foundation of Jesus Christ.
Why choose a Christ-centered education?
At Dallas Baptist University,
a Christ-centered education means a spirit of academic excellence
within the framework of a Biblical worldview. It is an education
where faculty and students integrate Christian faith and academic
learning in the classroom and strive to be servant leaders
in their communities.
With
a 17:1 student to faculty ratio, it is also an environment
where students can really get to know their professors, many
of which are leaders in their fields. Guided by the shepherding
hearts of DBU's faculty and staff, our students go into the
world with a mature Christian faith and an awareness of their
responsibility and Christ-like uniqueness in today's global
society.
